Who is RnR Marine and what is their background? RnR Marine is some what of a restart company in a new location next to their old place of business. Rich La Lond Jr. and Ray La Lond are the second generation of their family in the marine industry since 1977, formerly Landfall Marine Center. Landfall Marine Center and its property were sold in 2000 and were to be developed into water front housing. Their history and experience at Landfall included working and managing many aspects of a full service marine facility. Landfall Marine Center was comprised of a 165 slip marina with the average boat being 30’, hauling and transporting by truck and hydraulic trailer along with dry land storage for 250 plus boats. They also had a factory trained service department for marine engine repair and replacement from small 2hp outboards to big diesels, fiberglass repairs, boat sales both new and used. Their marine ships store and parts department was (and still is) viewed as the best in the South Shore of Boston by many people in the marine industry.
The new location(2004) for RnR Marine is a 16,000 square foot former car dealership and is very clean and modern. This location will provide new opportunities because of its frontage, visual appeal, location, layout and amount of retail space. RnR’s new location will also be beneficial by having all their services in one building which will expose customers to all they have to offer. Ray and Rich Jr’s goal is to provide their customers with a large selection of quality products and services at reasonable rates. RnR Marine is always willing to do the research and find hard to get parts and accessories, their reputation has been built on this. |
